I know I never come here any more and no one ever looks here anyway, but I always liked the end of year entries that I did so here is the 2006 wrap up. It was a big year...

2006...

January: Recovery from the dreaded Disney vacation. Beginning of rehearsals for Sound of Music. Thrilled to be playing my dream role in that show. Saw Dirty Rotten Schoundrels the last week it was possible to see the original cast. The first tale reading in the Hilton theater...took Amanda...also the only reading in 3 years i didnt work.

February: College BFA auditions. Two in NY and one after a sleepless night in Boston. Hell week for Sound of Music. 18th Birthday!!!!! First college accpetance letter arrives. Opening Night possibly had my worst onstage blunder ever...damn suitcase. Saw Idina Menzel and Taye Diggs in a Starbucks in NYC.

March: Sound of Music closes. Not knowing how I made it through 2 show saturdays. Huge cast party. Lost on the highway. Saw The Pajama Game with Travis...met Harry Connick Jr. and Kelli O'Hara afterwards. Spring Break...is it sad I don't remember what I did? Manda and Lissa's Birthdays. Party Bike! Freezing trip to the beach.

April: Ragtime Auditions. Prom drama commences. Senior cut day...the first senior class in 6 years to ALL miss school that day! Cast in Ragtime. Recording "If I Loved You" with Sean. Performing scene from "The Glass Menagerie" at WYACT Caberet. Last chorus concert in High School, performed the Gershwin Medley Doc wrote for me (Embraceable You, But Not For Me, The Man I Love). Winning the Theater Arts Award and named Music Student of the Month by Morristown Community Theater.

May: Chose to attend Mount Holyoke College next year. Finals. Last Day of High School. Sweeney for the second time...backstage with Michael Cerveris. First Rehearsal for Ragtime...we kind of sound amazing. Senior project...a week on a Tale reading. Commuting between the city and Newark. Project Presentation. My Graduation party!!!!

June: Senior Dinner. Pre-Prom, Prom, Post- Prom. First day of work at BriarPatch...my first playcheck!! Graduation rehearsal. Senior Alumna Barbaque. Graduation. '06!!! Lucent Center to the Chase Room. Parents away for a week in Barcelona. My first time having the house to myself.

July: RAGTIME!!!! parents away again over the 4th of July. The Chill Room's Pot Luck dinner. The world's longest tech process...sister act. Opening Night Party. Mark Jacoby and Peter Friedman come to see the show. Bravo Pizza. Compleation of the 9 performances at NJPAC. Move to Manasquan...tech, again.

August: Last 7 performances. Fun on the beach at night. Twin Oaks Parties. Star Ledger Rave Review. Lieberman Reading. Ragtime Closes...a lot of tears. Dragged to Vermont. Final visit to Mount Holyoke. See my room for the first time. Still not excited for college. Tearful good-byes as my friends leave one by one. Sweeney for the 3rd time...haha i'm a loser!! Cerveris concert. Packing. Penn Station. Back to Vermont.

September: Move into Mount Holyoke. Orientation. Meeting Hannah. Classes start. Banging my head against a wall trying to produce any kind of traditional theatrical production. Into the Woods audition...bull shit. Phone Calls...a lot of phone calls. My musical idea falls through. How am I going to do this for 4 years?

October: Home for October break. Revisiting the life that I miss- acting class, voice lesson, bravo pizza, seeing shows, seeing friends. Decision made to transfer. Kelsey's birthday. Hannah and I escape to Vermont. A weekend of House on my couch which is amazingly more exciting than any weekend spent at MHC. Only "A" on the first paper in my Performance Studies Class. The transfer countdown begins. Amherst parties, Vegas Night, random lunches in Northampton. Hampshire Halloween...see photos.

November: Home twice. Submitting final applications to Drew and Fordham. Enjoying the joys of AMTRAC train transportation. First time home seeing "Our Town"...the first show I have seen at Wilkie from the audience. Candella. A lot of paper writing. Home again, Thanksgiving...first time in Maplewood in forever. Even better with the Fortunato's and LaRose's Seeing Company with Kevin. Seeing Cynthia Nixon and Chris Noth (Mr. Big) on the same New York day. Meeting Raul Esparza. Back to Massachusetts for the last time.

December: Crunch time. Finals, Finals, Finals. Filling out every form to get me out of Mount Holyoke forever. Last night at Mount Holyoke...visiting all 5 colleges, watching sitcoms with Hannah for the last time...deep and meaningful discussions about our futures. Packing. Move out. Home, Home, Home. Reindeer Monologues. The Tree. Saw Grey Gardens on the fly...i <3 TKTS. Christmas Day, again wonderful to have it in Maplewood. Family departs to Vermont. Michael's Birthday Dinner. Kevin's Christmas party...watching Ragtime on DVD. Going to Kyle's for New Year's Eve. Waiting for college acceptances...It's going to be a Happy New Year.

A big year and hopefully another wonderful one ahead.

Happy 2007!!!

Hello all.

I have not been here in a while.  It seems as though all my entires have started out that way lately.  Oh well.  I am currently in rehearsal for "Ragtime" at NJPAC.  We open in 9 days.  I actually think we are ready for the most part.  We shall see how it goes once we add costumes, lights, sound and computer images.  We move into the theater today.  Very exciting!!

My 4th of July was fine if relatively uneventful.  I layed around for most of the day...my last day off  until we open...then my parents got home around 3.  I had to help them unpack and then Alex called so I went to her house for a little while.  I ended up going to the fireworks in Maplewood with Alex, Amanda, Melissa, Julie and Brendan.  After we all went back to Manda's where Brett and Abbey were there with the baby...seriously the most beautiful baby I have ever seen. We hung out there for a little while and then they were all going to a party but I had to go home to get up this morning for work/rehearsal...

So here I am at my desk with no task at hand...

Well I should be a good girl and get back to work...

I will attempt to update again soon.

Pride & Prejudice (Widescreen Edition)

Wow...I have not been here in FOREVER!!!!  I am not even going to try an recap what happened since January 24 or whatever.  Man, when I think of all that has happened in that time it almost scares me.  The ups and downs have probab;y been some of the greatest of my life.

Well I am quickly approaching the end of my high school career.  How scary is that??? Where did the last 4 years go? I had been waiting so long to be the lead in my high school musical and perform my senior spotlight...and it all came or has already past.  I know that I have greater and bigger things ahead in college and beyond but I really feel like I am leaving my whole world behind come August.  Perhaps I'm being dramatic.  But I guess that is what change does to me...

I am still trying to decide where I am going next year.  I did overnights at Drew and Mount Holyoke and I will be at Muhlenberg on Wednesday.  We shall see.

Today was a pretty good day.  I was home because today was a teacher in-service.  Dad and I drove home from VT last night and I stayed up to late watching the Keira Knightly version of "Pride and Prejudice" (the Colin Firth version is better). I woke up semi-early this morning and drove to my voice lesson.  Then I got an emergency call from Kyle so I went to the mall to help him pick out a tie for his prom.  Then I came home and worked on my English project.  When Dad got home we ordered pizza and then we attempted to watch "Our Town" but Dad fell asleep...as usual.  And here I am.

I guess that will have to do.  Sorry about the big gap in the entries.  There was something wrong with my password on this site.

Later!

END OF THE FIRST SEMESTER!!!

Rehearsal continues to be a blast...even though we have to go in from 9-3 tomorrow which is a day off...

I had a really fun weekend. Spent Friday with Liss, Alex and Julie and we watched "Just Marrief"...lol...cute movie....Saturday I had a voice lesson and babysat for the Meisels who I love!! And today i had another voice lesson...coming down on the wire for these college auditions. Then I went to see Brokeback Mountain with a group of my school friends. The movie was excellent. Worth seeing for sure...and not only because it is probably going to win Best Picture.

Later!
